How to read the calendar
Before open / after close
The report comes out before trading starts at 9:30 or after it ends at 16:00 New York time. The price reacts at the next session’s open.
Estimate
The average expected result according to analysts. The market compares the actual figure with it.
Surprise
How much better or worse the result is than the estimate. Green means the company beat expectations, red that it disappointed.
